Myth 4:

AI and RPA only serve to minimize costs?!

Florian Poniewaß I 29.09.2020

Anyone who thinks that automated processes using artificial intelligence and robotic process automation only serve to reduce direct process costs is on the wrong track. Of course, in most cases costs are the main focus and provide a basis for business decisions, but automation solutions still offer other promising advantages that should not be ignored under any circumstances, even if they are not immediately apparent.

We present a few of them to you here:

- Added Value: Employees are given additional freedom to concentrate on demanding tasks.

- Job enrichment: Your employees' motivation and satisfaction increase. By taking on stupid routine skills, employees feel more valued and are more motivated. Through more challenging tasks, your employees develop more initiative, are more competent and more productive.

- Quality and compliance: RPA works error-free. In addition, all work steps can be precisely traced. There is also the possibility of increasing compliance through automated controls.

- Increased customer satisfaction: By increasing efficiency, process times and waiting times are shortened. The customer therefore receives their product or service more quickly, which creates a competitive advantage.

The customer benefits from artificial intelligence especially in the support and service areas.
Robots are available 24/7 and can help immediately with small questions and problems – definitely better than spending hours on hold!

- Rethink established processes. The approach of “never change a running system” is not always correct. Introducing RPA requires a rethink of the process landscape. Companies must look at their processes and standardize them as much as possible, because a bad process remains bad even after automation. The focus is on the future!

- Life punishes those who come too late: This saying also applies to companies! If groundbreaking technological innovations are missed, it is often a matter of survival. That is why it is particularly important to take a close look at RPA and artificial intelligence now.

Be one step ahead of the competition!
